Privacy Policy – Ura – Learn Albanian

This policy explains how the iOS app “Ura – Learn Albanian” (bundle ID com.uralingua.english) handles data. It applies to both learning directions (English → Albanian and Albanian → English).

The basics

Ura works without an account. Your learning progress (XP, streak, completed lessons, review and exam results, your own words, learning direction, difficulty, first name from the welcome screen, design and reminder settings) is stored only on your device. The app does not send it to us. If you use “Export progress”, the app creates a file that you save or share yourself; we do not receive it.

What data is processed

1. Advertising (Unity LevelPlay / Unity Ads)

The free version shows ads (banners, full-screen ads and, if you choose, a video ad to refill a heart). Ads are delivered via the mediation platform Unity LevelPlay (ironSource Ltd., Israel, part of the Unity group) and Unity Ads (Unity Technologies, USA). These providers may process device and advertising identifiers, your IP address (from which an approximate location can be derived), interactions with the app and the ads, and diagnostic data, for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.

Before any ads are loaded, the app asks which ads you want to see:

• Personalized ads: only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) German TDDDG) and your permission in Apple's App Tracking Transparency dialog may the providers use the advertising ID (IDFA) and device information to tailor ads to your interests and recognize you across other companies' apps and websites (tracking).
• Non-personalized ads: no cross-app interest profile is created. Technical data such as IP address, device information and ad interactions may still be processed for delivery, measurement and fraud prevention (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

If you decline tracking in the Apple dialog, ads stay non-personalized. You can change your choice and withdraw consent at any time in the app under Profile → Privacy options, and in the iOS settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking. Premium subscribers see no ads. Details: Unity privacy policy. For Israel the EU Commission has issued an adequacy decision; transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or EU standard contractual clauses.

2. Purchases and subscription management (Apple App Store / RevenueCat)

The optional Premium subscription is sold through Apple's App Store. Payment is handled by Apple; the app never receives or stores payment details such as card numbers.

To check and manage your subscription we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA) as a processor. It processes a randomly generated anonymous user ID (no name, email or login), your purchase history (product, time, price and currency, store transaction IDs, subscription status), technical data about the app and device (app version, operating system, store country/language), your IP address and the learning direction chosen in the app. Purpose: unlocking Premium, restoring purchases, showing suitable offers and analyzing subscription figures. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract) and, for the analysis, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a working subscription offer). Data may be processed in the USA based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or EU standard contractual clauses and is kept as long as needed for subscription management and statutory retention. You can find your anonymous user ID in the app under Profile → Copy user ID. With it we can, for example, give you Premium or delete your subscription data on request.

3. Microphone and speaking practice

For the optional speaking mirror the app asks for microphone access. Your recording is kept only temporarily on your device so you can play it back and compare it; the app does not store it permanently and does not send it to us. Where speech recognition is used, it is performed by Apple's Speech framework, which, depending on your device and language, may process audio on Apple's servers. Access only happens when you start the feature.

4. Voice output (text-to-speech)

Words and sentences are read aloud by voices that run directly on your device (Albanian: built in; English: optional download) or by the iOS system voice. No text is sent to us. If you tap “Download voice”, the voice files are downloaded once from Apple's App Store servers (On-Demand Resources); Apple processes your IP address for this download.

5. Reminders

The daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. No data is sent to us.

6. Contact and error reports

If you email us, for example via “Report a mistake” in an exercise (this opens your mail app with our support address ura.shqip.deutsch@gmail.com), we process your email address, the content of your message and the exercise details you send, only to answer you and fix the content (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the email when it is no longer needed.

What the app does not collect

The app itself does not collect your name for us, your email address, contacts, photos or precise location, and it has no user accounts. It contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Ad providers may derive an approximate location from your IP address, and an anonymous user ID is used for subscription management, as described above.

Note on AI content: parts of the learning content were created with the help of AI tools and then edited. The app does not contain any automated AI interaction with users (such as a chatbot).

Your rights

You can manage your device's ad and tracking settings, change or withdraw your ad consent in the app at any time with effect for the future, and delete all local data by uninstalling the app. Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. To access or delete your subscription data at RevenueCat, send us your user ID (see above) at the email address above.

Parimi bazë

Ura funksionon pa llogari. Përparimi yt (XP, seria, mësimet, rezultatet e pyetjeve dhe provimeve, fjalët e tua, drejtimi i të mësuarit, vështirësia, emri yt i parë, cilësimet) ruhet vetëm në pajisjen tënde dhe nuk na dërgohet. Skedarin e eksportit të përparimit e ruan ose e ndan vetë ti.

Të dhënat që përpunohen

Reklamat (Unity LevelPlay / Unity Ads): versioni falas shfaq reklama (banera, reklama në ekran të plotë dhe, nëse e zgjedh, një video për një zemër). Ofruesit mund të përpunojnë identifikues të pajisjes dhe të reklamave, adresën IP (vendndodhje e përafërt), ndërveprimet me aplikacionin dhe reklamat si edhe të dhëna diagnostikuese. Para reklamave aplikacioni të pyet: reklama të personalizuara vetëm me pëlqimin tënd (neni 6(1)(a) GDPR) dhe me lejen në dritaren e Apple „App Tracking Transparency“; përndryshe reklama jo të personalizuara, pa profil interesash ndërmjet aplikacioneve. Zgjedhjen mund ta ndryshosh ose tërheqësh kurdo te Profili → Opsionet e privatësisë dhe te cilësimet e iOS. Abonentët Premium nuk shohin reklama. Politika e Unity.

Blerjet (App Store / RevenueCat): abonimi Premium paguhet përmes App Store. Aplikacioni nuk ruan të dhëna pagese. Për menaxhimin e abonimit përdorim RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., SHBA) si përpunues: një ID anonime e rastësishme, historiku i blerjeve, të dhëna teknike, adresa IP dhe drejtimi i të mësuarit (neni 6(1)(b) dhe (f) GDPR). Transferimi në SHBA bazohet në EU-US Data Privacy Framework ose në klauzolat standarde kontraktuale. Politika e RevenueCat. ID-në e gjen te Profili → Kopjo ID-në e përdoruesit.

Mikrofoni: regjistrimi ruhet vetëm përkohësisht në pajisje për ta dëgjuar dhe krahasuar; nuk na dërgohet. Njohja e zërit, nëse përdoret, kryhet nga Apple dhe mund të përpunohet në serverët e Apple.

Zërat: fjalët lexohen nga zëra që punojnë në pajisje ose nga zëri i sistemit. Shkarkimi opsional i zërit anglisht bëhet nga serverët e App Store të Apple.

Kujtesat: njoftime lokale në pajisje. E-mail: nëse na shkruan (p.sh. „Raporto gabim“), përpunojmë adresën dhe mesazhin vetëm për t'u përgjigjur.

Aplikacioni nuk mbledh emër, e-mail, kontakte, foto apo vendndodhje të saktë dhe nuk ka SDK analitike. Pjesë të përmbajtjes janë krijuar me ndihmën e mjeteve të AI dhe janë redaktuar; nuk ka bisedë automatike me AI.

Të drejtat e tua

Mund të menaxhosh cilësimet e reklamave dhe gjurmimit, të tërheqësh pëlqimin në aplikacion dhe të fshish të dhënat lokale duke çinstaluar aplikacionin. Sipas GDPR ke të drejtën e informimit, korrigjimit, fshirjes, kufizimit, transferimit, kundërshtimit dhe ankesës pranë një autoriteti mbikëqyrës.
